Belgium: SPIE wins a new "Helpdesk" contract for schools in Wallonia

Brussels, 15 November 2022 - The ICS division of SPIE Belgium, the Belgian subsidiary of the SPIE Group, the  independent European leader in multi-technical services in the areas of energy and communications, has recently won a new "Helpdesk" contract to provide technical support to schools in Wallonia.

As part of the Digital School Plan, the Walloon Public Service (SPW) must provide schools with computer equipment with the most effective technical support possible. This support must enable teachers to be relieved as much as possible of the task of resolving technical incidents and other malfunctions related to equipment and installations. Since 2004, this service has been provided by the ICS division of SPIE Belgium, a symbol of the confidence and loyalty of the SPW in the quality of the services of the Belgian subsidiary.

Today, this service must be revised to meet the new needs of the Walloon public service. The new "Helpdesk" contract won by SPIE Belgium's ICS division, which will be implemented from the second half of 2022 for a period of 4 years, will have a revised content compared to previous years. Its scope will be in line with the development of the Digital School Plan set up by Wallonia.

SPIE Belgium's new service for schools will be divided into several levels of intervention, ranging from a website to solve the problem yourself to on-site technical assistance - including telephone and e-mail support for more specific questions.

Within the framework of this contract, two types of interventions are to be distinguished: hardware interventions and software interventions.
