Germany : SPIE joins the EUREF community, an Innovation platform for the energy transition, mobility and climate protection

Ratingen, 10 August 2021 – SPIE Deutschland & Zentraleuropa, a subsidiary of SPIE, the independent European leader in multi-technical services in the areas of energy and communications, has joined the EUREF community and will move to the EUREF Campus Düsseldorf in 2024. By moving to the biggest climate-neutral campus in North Rhine-Westphalia, SPIE Deutschland & Zentraleuropa offers its employees an innovative and inspiring working environment, along with an innovation and digitalisation platform for developing sustainable, climate-neutral solutions for the energy and mobility transition.

The EUREF Campus Düsseldorf is set to become the new, climate-neutral corporate headquarters of SPIE Deutschland & Zentraleuropa, supporting the company's growth and sustainability targets: "SPIE's core business involves offering services for a carbon-free economy. SPIE to be responsible for on-campus technical operations

"We are especially pleased that SPIE is not only moving to the EUREF Campus Düsseldorf but will also be responsible for its technical building operations," says Rainer Hollang, General Manager of the Efficient Facilities operational division and member of the Management Board of SPIE Deutschland & Zentraleuropa. When the campus opens in 2024, SPIE will assume responsibility for technical facility management over an area covering 36,000 square metres. When the second construction phase is complete in 2025, this area will be expanded by another 27,000 square metres. The EUREF Campus Düsseldorf is a building complex engineered to the highest technical standards and featuring an innovative energy concept. Thanks to a high-tech power station and the use of renewable energies, the campus will benefit from a completely carbon-neutral energy supply.
