Lighting the Humboldt Forum

SPIE was commissioned by the German Federal Office for Building and Regional Planning to design, install, and maintain energy-efficient power supply management and lighting systems.

SPIE designers carefully selected the positions and colors of the lighting throughout the premises, including the exhibition spaces, stairwells, bathrooms, and facades. They collaborated closely with lighting designers and installed custom designs. 

Around 8,000 lights, most equipped with energy-saving LED technology, were supplied from nearly 20 different manufacturers.
