Gdynia / Poland, 14 November 2023 – SPIE Building Solutions Sp. z.o.o. a polish subsidiary of SPIE, the independent European leader in multi-technical services in the areas of energy and communications – has been responsible for the Technical Facility Management for the REPUBLIK building in Gdynia since 1 September 2023. The striking building in the so-called Tricity, a metropolitan region around the cities of Gdańsk (Gdansk), Gdynia and Sopot on the Polish Baltic Sea, has almost 9,000 m2 of modern equipped space, mostly for offices.
The office building, which is very well-known among the residents of Gdynia and is now called REPUBLIK, has been extensively modernised in recent months. With well-equipped offices, a multifunctional multi-purpose area, and further areas with special technical requirements such as ”Rooftop” and “CoWorking” in the making, there are many technically complex installations and systems. The demands on the technical facility management are correspondingly high in order to be able to offer the users working comfort and equipment at the highest level.
SPIE Building Solutions is responsible for the inspection and maintenance of electrical, low voltage, HVAC, plumbing and fire protection installations. SPIE also manages warranties and provides 24/7 emergency service, 365 days a year, to ensure the building operates as trouble-free as possible for the tenants.
"We have a strong team of employees here in our regional office with extensive technical know-how and wide-ranging experience. This allows us to offer Hossa building services of the highest standard, great technical expertise and extremely short response times. The office building is equipped with a large number of systems and installations. Our task will be to ensure that these operate reliably and efficiently while providing the highest level of comfort for the people working there," says Michał Owczyński, Regional Operational Manager at SPIE Building Solutions, who is responsible for the implementation of the contract.
The property has already undergone a comprehensive thermal upgrade of the façade, which has significantly reduced operating costs and improved working comfort for users.
"We are currently completing the final phase of changes in the common spaces and working on a design concept for two new areas within the building – Co-Working and Rooftop. I am convinced that the multi-functional, multi-purpose area on the top floor will be an additional attraction for all tenants, while Co-Working, on the other hand, is an opening for the younger generation, which has very different workplace requirements. Technical and operational aspects must therefore be of the highest standard. That is why we decided to entrust the property to SPIE's technical management," says Nick Rajszys, Asset Management Director at Hossa Investment Group.
The team of SPIE Building Solutions, looks after a large number of buildings in Poland, including Pomerania.
