Gulpener’s overall goal is to implement a carbon neutral production method by 2030.

To help them reach this goal, SPIE redesigned the brewing process, implementing a low-grade heat application to allow fossil-fuel-free production. SPIE also advised the brewery on using a future-proof energy connection. Within a few years, the inline measurement systems installed by SPIE’s teams will provide sufficient information to further analyse and optimise the site’s energy consumption.
