SPIE speeds up deployment of its SMART FM 360° digital platform

Saint-Denis, 27 October 2020 – SPIE Facilities, a French subsidiary of the SPIE Group, the independent European leader in multi-technical services in the areas of energy and communications and a key player in the field of Facility Management, is accelerating the deployment of “SMART FM 360°”, a digital platform that allows users to use and optimise all the intelligence that buildings have to offer.

Regulatory, environmental and societal challenges

With its 2600 staff members and 65 sites, SPIE Facilities offers its customers building maintenance and facility management solutions throughout France. Its primary mission is to guarantee the effective management of the buildings entrusted to it by its 4000 customers. “One of the advantages of Smart FM 360° is to guarantee an interconnection between a building’s systems, services and users. The information that this generates can be used to address challenges associated with regulations and property sustainability, control the environmental impact and meet occupant needs in terms of quality of life at work,” explains Cyril Pouet, Managing Director of SPIE Facilities. All too often, buildings co-exists but functions independently, with their own systems and services. “Smart FM 360° was developed to create interconnections between tools and buildings within one property portfolio, whether concentrated or spread out. SMART FM 360° allows us to transform building operation into a lever for asset management and valuation. This tool, developed by SPIE Facilities to provide an effective solution accessible to all, is based on an intuitive and adaptable interface designed for four user types: companies, building residents (or users), maintenance technicians and other providers offering their services within the building. Accessible from any device, by any user, the “SMART FM 360°” solution detects any faults connected with the building services and allows for real-time management. It makes it easier to automate and prioritise how requests are processed and anticipates any potential anomalies, making it a trigger for predictive maintenance.

“SMART FM 360°” is designed for and can adapt to any property type, whether old or new, tertiary or industrial, multi-site or sensitive (as for example data centres). To date, over 3000 sites have been integrated and are now managed via the platform. Its deployment is accelerating thanks to its results, while its digital usage options, especially via the IoT, enable companies to view very competitive maintenance service offers that combine energy and financial performance.
