Published on 09 January 2025

Let’s dive into an interview about the groundbreaking Smart FM 360° platform with Julien Delbecchi, SMART FM Program Manager, and Ludivine Dupont, Methods Manager at SPIE Facilities (France). Discover how this innovative solution is revolutionizing property management and inspiring new approaches to building maintenance and services.

A central platform encompassing the full spectrum of facilities management, Smart FM 360° is a unique property management solution designed by SPIE Facilities. With Smart FM 360°, SPIE Facilities aims to reinvent building maintenance and services. From proactive building management to streamlined reporting and predictive maintenance, it provides a unified and scalable system to enhance data management and reporting. Customers enjoy transparent, real-time tools that analyse and improve their assets’ technical performance, energy use, and economic viability, while ensuring optimal comfort and services for occupants.

How does this solution impact your work and contribute to our employees?

A unique platform simplifies customer integration as we can develop interfaces in-house. It also streamlines partnerships with other applications: we can industrialise without worrying about managing specific cases or developing POCs for a single sector. For Back Office users, the many indicators and dashboards enable real-time activity monitoring; for technicians working with customers in the field, having access to the relevant history (of the site, service calls, etc.) is a boost for efficiency.

What are some examples of this platform’s benefits, in terms of internal efficiency and for our customers?

Tools governance is much more effective as managing and tracking licenses, developing interfaces, etc., are all centralised now. In the field, the chat feature simplifies communication between technicians and schedulers if e.g. tasks need to be rescheduled or adjusted. The web portal is a big plus for customers as they get customised dashboards and advanced indicators. They also value having a full picture of all their assets and our level of performance.

How would you like to see this platform evolve in the future?

It’s very promising and there’s more features to explore e.g., energy use monitoring or mass signature for service calls. The next step: implementing conditional maintenance on critical assets, so we can trigger technical visits based on sensor data linked to assets instead of systematic calendar maintenance. And very soon, adding AI integration to demonstrate the capabilities of the new EinsteinGPT feature Salesforce is proposing to test, and finding use cases to help technical teams in the field.
