SPIE is putting in place a series of switching systems, a call centre and a telephone helpline offering remote or on-site maintenance, capable of operating on St. Claraspital’s WIFI terminals, mobile phones and computers. The needs of the hospital’s staff will therefore be taken into account to the greatest extent possible by means of personalised service modules, with particular emphasis being placed on intuitive operation.
SPIE also installed a system for monitoring the presence of teams in order to determine their availability, using its Avaya Aura-based solution. This solution has been adapted to the hospital’s specific requirements and involves the UCC client Equinox, forming an integral part of the Avaya system. This UCC application works just as well on smartphones as it does on workstations. A softphone with headphones will be provided for individual workstations. A solution devised by Engelbart Software AG will be used for consolidating telephone directories and lines by department. Existing analogue subscribers (fax machines) will be connected to the new system via media gateways. This solution will allow St. Claraspital to achieve its objective of having a modular, scalable and future-oriented communication system.
SPIE ICS AG will operate all of St. Claraspital’s infrastructure over the next 5 years.
